We are currently looking at several sites for Beyond the Edge in Western Washington and are excited by the possibilities. A number of factors are playing into the decision. These include:

The site's physical location.
• Is it in a beautiful natural location? Does it have the right feeling for this event? Is it close to open places where participants could go to comfortably spend time in meditation or quiet conversation?
• Is it relatively easy to get there from Seattle Tacoma International airport? Is transportation available at a reasonable cost?

Accommodations.
• Can each participant have his or her own comfortable room and bath?
• Would we have very comfortable meeting space as a group? Are there alternative meeting spaces to accommodate our activities?
• Do costs for rooms and meeting spaces represent a good value?

Food
• Good to excellent in quality?
• Flexible options for both type of food and service?
• Vegetarian alternatives?
• Do costs represent a good value?

Other amenities
• Are spa services available?
• Is there access to stores for extra food or clothing or other needed-in-the-moment supplies?

Business relationship
• Will the hotel/resort/retreat center understand the event?
• Do staff see themselves as collaborative partners?
